small piston pump application

Overview

Vacuum lifting equipment differs from other lifting equipment in many ways. Vacuum lifters offer extraordinary benefits in terms of more efficient handling and a safer working environment. They can easily lift, turn, move and lower loads again compared to traditional lifting methods which require more time spent on setup and dismantling operations before each lift cycle begins.

Portable vacuum lifters are becoming the equipment of choice for applications requiring a single operator to handle repetitive and heavy loads. Many reputable manufacturers use these systems, but their affordable price makes them a practical power tool for any business. Choosing the vacuum lifter that best meets your load lifting requirements will increase productivity and provide a safer working environment.

According to the latest market research, the vacuum suction lifter market will continue to grow over the next decade. In recent years, with the popular use of portable vacuum elevators in light industry and heavy industry professionals, the demand for the core component – micro vacuum suction pump has also increased significantly. Using these pumps in portable vacuum elevators can achieve more energy and lower energy consumption than conventional types of pumps.

This article will continue to share three cases and topics of micro pumps in vacuum lifters & handling systems from the following areas.

Top 5 reasons for the growth of the vacuum lifter market

1) Ease of use:

Vacuum lifters are easy to operate and do not require much training or experience. This makes them ideal for small businesses that do not have the time or resources to hire specialized workers.

2) Durability:

These machines are made of strong materials and can withstand harsh environments, such as construction sites, where they can face dust and debris daily.

3) Increased productivity

Vacuum lifters offer many advantages over traditional lifting methods such as forklifts or pallet trucks. They are available to lift heavy loads without causing back injuries or physical strain because they require less effort from the operator than traditional methods. This makes them ideal for use in industries where workers must frequently lift heavy or bulky items. Examples include construction sites and warehouses where large quantities of goods (such as furniture or appliances) are transported regularly but need to be easily accessible so that employees can move them quickly without having to spend too much time doing so.

4) Cost reduction

Another reason for the growth of this market is that it helps companies save money by reducing the operational costs associated with transporting heavy items around the facility

5) Growing demand for automation

The growing demand for automation in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and shipbuilding has led to an increase in the demand for automated systems that can perform different tasks such as material handling at high speeds with minimal human intervention. As more and more companies invest in automation technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), the demand for new products such as vacuum lifters that can be used in these industries is also on the rise.

Micro vacuum suction pumps for Vacuum Lifters & Handling Systems case study

Case 1

Australian client A is a glass lift manufacturer and can provide a wide range of glass lifting equipment to help companies achieve their transport and installation goals. Glass vacuum lifters are one of their main product lines.

The purpose of the new project was to increase suction cup suction to provide a vacuum for 1-4 lifting vacuum cups. It is a stand-alone vacuum system and add-on module.

It includes a battery-powered miniature vacuum pump of the BD-07 series, and we provided advice on anti-electromagnetic interference for the DC brush vacuum pump and the associated electronics. We successfully helped the customer to solve the cost reduction and technical problems.

Case 2

Italy B company is a manufacturer of lifting equipment, specializing in designing particular lifting systems.

Customer B needed to develop a portable, handheld electric vacuum lifter (handheld vacuum suction cup fixture), mainly composed of a vacuum pump, suction cup, and battery. The customer’s requirements for the product were:

(1) The product must be portable and handheld.
(2) It should be easy for anyone to operate the product regardless of experience level or training.

We provided B company with a low-power BD-04 series diaphragm vacuum pump and a BD-07 series piston vacuum pump (high flow rate and high vacuum) for testing. We also provided helpful suggestions on noise, vibration, and safety issues, for example, rubber shock absorption technology, noise reduction technology, air circuit design suggestions, etc. Finally, we got the customer’s approval.

Case 3

Russian customer C is a manufacturer of small lifting equipment, and the vacuum gripper lifter is one of their main product lines.

The high flow brushless piston vacuum pump supplied by BODENFLO manufacturer has the advantages of oil-free, maintenance-free, long life, -85kpa high vacuum, etc. The high quality has won the long-term order.

The above 3 cases illustrate that DC miniature piston vacuum pumps are versatile, flexible, and indispensable for small lifters and handling systems. So, how to buy a suitable vacuum pump? BODENFLO listed the Top 5 FAQS to help customers make quick decisions.

Top 5 micro vacuum lifter pump faqs

2) When lifting 300-500 pounds, how much vacuum and flow rate should we choose for the vacuum pump?

Optional 12V or 24V

Brush or brushless version optional

Maximum vacuum -85kpa(637.5mmHg)

Maximum flow rate available 25L/min(0.88cfm), 30L/min(1cfm), 35L/min(1.2cfm)

3) What is the principle of a miniature vacuum pump?

Small oilless piston air vacuum pumps through the cylinder in the fixed crank drive piston to achieve volume changes, that is, the air in the pump cavity compressions and stretches, to form a high flow of vacuum (negative pressure) and positive pressure.

4) Can a mini vacuum pump inflate and suction?

Yes, it is a dual purpose.

The 12V/24V DC electric mini-piston pump has one inlet and one outlet.

Outlet ports are for inflation/pressurization/lift/air compression; inlet ports are for vacuum/suction/compression vacuum.
